Eccentric New Years Eve Wedding in New Orleans w/ Sarah + Marshall

December 20, 2018

This NYE wedding was almost a year ago but it continues to enchant me. I knew from the very first email Sarah sent me we were going to be the perfect team. She mentioned an Elvis impersonator, tattoos, food trucks, and an art garage. It all sounded too perfect I actually emailed back to make sure she wasn’t a colleague pulling a prank on me. I mean with her name being Sarah and his name as Marshall, can you blame me for being skeptical? Turns out, they were real people and we hit it off instantly.

Coming all the way from Brooklyn, NY, they made sure their guests felt loved and cherished the entire night. I can think back on so many specific moments throughout the night that sparked a smile on my face. The parent dances, a twirl from Sarah when the jazz band started to play that I luckily captured on camera, the wild vignettes in every corner at the reception, the bubble girls who joined the party, heck even having banana pudding from Willa Jean as one of the desserts. I also distinctly remember it being the coldest night I had ever experience in Louisiana. The wind and temperature duo was iinnssaannneee. But I digress. Everything was just so them and so perfect. It was a wild night–get ready.
