Cats, Bone Thugs N Harmony, & all the yummy cocktails one could drink.
Here’s the thing about this wedding…It couldn’t have been better. Besides the fact that I came home with a rash from the hellish Cancun sun, it was a dream come true. Devon and Nick are the quirkiest of quirks. Conrad and I’s odd sense of nerdy humor mixed with their odd sense of nerdy humor blended beautifully together. We hung out in the pool for hours the day after the wedding. Just making lame jokes and laughing way too hard at them. Conrad and I just felt like we were one of the crew and were treated as such. The fact that their wedding hashtag was #bonethugsnmatrimony and they made tanks that said “meowed in mexico”…I mean these two rocked.
Devon saw my work through Dominque and Joseph’s wedding. At that point she knew she had to tote me along to Cancun. The resort “photographer” just wasn’t going to make the cut. In her own words, “While planning our destination wedding, my husband and I were originally going to settle with the resort photographer. After seeing Kristen’s absolutely stunning work on a mutual friend’s wedding, it became abundantly clear that we needed to book her immediately.” UM WHOA. Huge honor.
Thanks Devon and Nick for trusting your time, money, and resources with me. But mainly thanks for trusting that I was going to kick butt and be an asset to your journey <3 My little heart is forever grateful. I would get a rash a million times over just to do it again.
For photographers: I used the Canon 40mm pancake lens for all the non-wedding images. Super cheap, great travel lens. I highly recommend it!
